DY-G6nRW4AAh5jf.jpg-largeMCFLP has been part of the UN CSM civil society mechanism meeting on “right to food guidelines” (23 March, FAO HQ – Rome), by invitation of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Government.

The contribution of the MCFLP delegation has been focused on current and future thematic developments in the implementation of a “right to food agenda”.
Going specifically into the subject matter of “right to food and its security”, in the past year the commitment of MCFLP has been focused on these flagship topics: promoting the development of sustainable Agrifood supply chain, international dissemination activities on the water, food and energy sustainability nexus, benchmarking best practices against Work Exploitation in Agriculture, framining regulatory and cultural barriers in the deployment of new technologies and materials in food packaging. As recommendations, future commitment of the institute and future thematic perspectives, the MCFLP remarks an in depth analysis and discussion on the sequent issues: working on indicators for healthy food in familiar consumption and childhood nutrition, work on food safety as the control of organic supply chain and more generally sustainable supply chain, improving the assessment of risk and prevention to information shocks.
